Alfred J. Orlando Jr. has passed away on Monday, June 30th. Our deepest sympathy goes out to his wife Elizabeth, and their three children. Despite this recent loss, our Cross-Country ride will continue as planned. The Orlando family still needs our support, and positivity. We leave from Ocean Grove, New Jersey at 10am, Friday morning of July 25th. We will be leaving from the Ocean Grove Fishing Club Pier. We are strongly encouraging friends, family and supporters of our ride to help send us off that morning, so feel free to bring your bike and pedal us off as far as you wish. Bicycling is a community, and we would love to see that community come together to help a family in need. Thanks again for taking the time to read what we are doing!

Hey Kyle and Scott, good luck with the beautiful and well deserving views of the Rockies.

I was hit by a van while riding my road bike on May 23, 2008 and brought the bike to Kyle at Shrewsbury bicycles.

I just had knee surgery and I'm actually planning my own cycling trip from New Jersey (Tinton Falls) to Portland Oregon where my sister lives to live and work.

I'm planning on leaving next spring/early summer 2009.

I would love to hear any advice that either of you have, especially when Kyle gets back or even just via email if he wouldn't mind giving me any advice concerning planning/completing the trip.

I plan on using a Bob trailer.

In case you guys get a chance to contact me:

Again, good luck and enjoy the Rockies/Tetons, etc.
